Macy and Marshall Turn 7 and 6!!

Once again, Macy and Marshall wanted to have a "joint" birthday party! (I was very surprised!) "Pump It Up" was the party place and they had 37 friends in attandance!! (That's a lot of cupcakes and favors!)
Instead of gifts, they collected Crayola Color Wonder products to donate to the Children's Bereavement Center, which is a non-profit organization that counsels children who have lost a loved one. Their friends donated a huge bucket filled with these products which Macy and Marshall will deliver sometime soon.

I find it hard to believe my first-born grandchild has turned seven! She has become quite a grown-up young lady. She loves dancing and she is very much a "girlie girl" as you can see from the frilly skirt she has on at her party. She still loves dolls, especially baby dolls. She wants every one that she sees in the stores, even the ones with smudges on their faces---she wants to take them home and clean them up! She also loves American Girl Dolls and has several of them. At the same time, she loves playing outdoors and riding her bicycle. She is on a swim team this year for the first time, and has become a pretty good swimmer in just the past few months. Macy also loves singing and has been in her church's Kids' Choir for several years. Her group even sang on a beautiful CD this past year! She loves school and did extremely well in first grade. She also loves reading books now, and has decided that some day, she may become a teacher of special needs' children, or even have her own school.

Marshall is my second-born grandchild and is just thirteen months younger than his sister. He has the sweetest spirit of any child I've ever been around. He loves playing soccer, running, jumping, riding his scooter and his bicycle. He's become quite a daredevil on his bicycle and loves going really fast and jumping off the curb. He also is on a swim team this summer and has learned two strokes. The back stroke was very hard for him, but he has worked very hard and now has it mastered. He also loves working with wood and nails! He and his dad have made several projects this year. He's a boy who loves being a helper and one of his quotes is, "I can do it all by myself." He did so well in kindergarten, and loves reading books. He also loves to sing and has been in his church's Kids Choir for several years.

I managed to get Macy to sit still for just a few seconds to get a picture with her!

Marshall was EXTREMELY hyper the day of their party. About an hour into the party, he ran over to me and sat on the floor and leaned up against my legs. He was already tired!

This picture makes me laugh. It says a lot about this brother and sister!

Since Macy and Marshall are often called "M&M," their party theme was M&M's! Julie made adorable invitations and the cupcakes had an "m" on them that she cut from her "Cricut" machine.

What could be better for favors than water bottles filled with "M&M's!"

Macy summed it up well at the end of the party as everyone was leaving. She said, "This has been the BEST day of my life!"

Macy and Marshall Turn 7 and 6!! Sounds so much fun. Watching these photos was also very enjoyable for me. At one of the Chicago venues we just hosted our parent’s anniversary party and that was also a fabulous family event. Amazing party activities were arranged by the venue staff on our special request and we all had a great experience.
